The steps to disassemble a swivel recliner are as follows:
Disassemble the base and lift plate:
Turn the swivel chair upside down, use a hammer to hit the steel ring at the bottom, and then pry the base apart. If it doesn't work once, you can hit it again and pry it apart.
Another way is to use a rubber hammer to hit the four corners of the swivel chair until the lift plate is removed smoothly.
Disassemble the gas rod and seat cushion:
Find the screws that connect the armrests and backrests on the chair. Usually these screws are hidden in less conspicuous places. Use a screwdriver to slowly loosen these screws.
Let the cushion face the ground and shake the five-star feet left and right until the cushion and gas rod are separated. If the gas rod is a little tight, you can apply some cooking oil to lubricate it, and wait 1-2 hours before trying again.
Use a hammer to gently hit the chassis of the gas rod in a circular motion until the gas rod and chassis are separated.
Disassemble the wheels:
Some chairs have wheels that are pressed in hard and need to be pulled hard to remove.
